Take it home, open the package and find the activation number. Pick up the mobile and give it a call. 'The number you have dialed is incomplete.' So I 'check the number and try calling again'. Same message.

It turns out that you can't call 125 XXXX numbers from a Virgin phone. I know that's Virgin's issue not Telstra's, but would it have killed then to put a 13 or 1300 number like, well everyone else. So go around to the folks place (no home phone at mine) and give it a call.
