Hello, I have two of these machines and I can tell you how to remove the nose cover. There is a single screw that holds it in place but how you get to it isn't obvious. Looking at the machine from the front, lift the handle, look for the left pivot pin and about 1 inch away (looking down onto the machine) you will see a small hole. There is the screw and unfortunately it is a Torx which looks like an astrix (*) and a regular screwdriver won't fit.

If you look at the screws that hold the top cover on you will see what I'm talking about. The screw driver you will need is a little larger (I think a T-20) and don't remove the screw, only loosen it.
